About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our APAC Property and Casualty Operations Team in Bangalore as a Reinsurance Operations Associate.

The team is responsible for managing in-force reinsurance business end-to-end. In this role, you will be responsible for reinsurance accounts and claims handling, ensuring full contractual compliance.

You will work within a structured policy and process framework, with the opportunity to suggest improvements. The position includes managing a portfolio of APAC clients and collaborating with internal and external partners in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end processing of reinsurance accounts including premiums, claims, brokerage
  • Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and adherence to process, quality, and control standards
  • Timely and accurate handling of claims, including proper indexation and data capture
  • Maintain portfolio financials and ensure timely fund collection (Accounts Receivable)
  • Manage follow-ups and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with all internal, external, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Effectively manage own workload to meet service and business expectations
  • Engage directly with internal partners and external clients to resolve operational issues
  • Ensure professional client communication and take ownership of service quality
  • Collaborate across teams, functions, and geographies to meet internal client needs
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager

About the Team

You will be part of a skilled and motivated team of Technical Accountants, Claims Examiners, and Operations Associates supporting APAC reinsurance portfolios.

The team collaborates daily across regions and shares a continuous improvement mindset, aiming to deliver efficient and risk-aware services to clients and internal stakeholders.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or related fields
  • At least 2 years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, banking, accounting, or finance operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong numerical aptitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a high sense of accountability and commitment
  • Capable of working effectively in a team, including in virtual or cross-functional setups
  • Able to challenge the status quo and manage multiple business partners
  • Exposure to digital tools, automation, or big data is a plus
  • Insurance/Finance-related certifications are an added advantage
