As a key player in the scrap metal industry, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing: Identify and procure scrap metal from various suppliers, including industrial manufacturers, demolition companies and recycling facilities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading. They will possess excellent negotiation and communication skills, strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics.

A successful Scrap Metal Trader will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals, building long-term relationships with clients and suppliers, and staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends.
