Senior Audit Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Audit Professional to lead our audit engagements from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in statutory audits and be technically sound in financial statement preparation & review, auditing standards, and relevant laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Audit Execution: Lead statutory audits from planning through final reporting including management discussions.
  • Team Management: Handle multiple teams and their team leads; responsible for staffing, training, and performance reviews.
  • Compliance & Technical Accuracy: Ensure alignment with auditing standards and relevant laws.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with tax, finance, and legal teams to identify control gaps and compliance issues.
  • Client Relationship Management: Own client relationships; act as the single point of contact for escalations, walkthroughs, and closure.
  • Risk-Based Auditing: Apply risk assessment methodology to focus audit effort on high-impact areas.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Strong understanding of Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and other applicable laws.
  • Tech-Driven Approach: Leverage audit tools, checklists, and digital documentation systems to improve turnaround time and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of statutory audit experience, preferably in audit firms.
  • Independent Operator: Must have a proven track record of independently closing audits without supervision.
  • Team Leadership: Experience managing multiple teams and audit teams simultaneously.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial statement preparation & review, auditing standards, and relevant laws.
  • Strong Legal Acumen: Working knowledge of Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST, and other allied laws.
  • Accountability: High accountability, thrives under pressure, and delivers audits on time.
  • Effective Communication: Strong articulation for client presentations, board reporting, and team guidance.
