Job Description

This is a senior mechanical engineering role that involves designing, developing and implementing mechanical systems for various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design and be proficient in energy modeling software such as IES VE.

The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with a lesser level of guidance needed for unfamiliar tasks. They will provide regular updates to the manager on project/assignment status and may assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job and may coordinate activities of a small team.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (with minimum 10 years experience) or Equivalent and specialising in HVAC Design.
  • Well-versed with ASHRAE/CIBSE/NFPA.
  • Experience in commercial, residential, datacentre, and infrastructure projects from different geographies - USA, Canada, ANZ Region.
  • Senior Mechanical Engineer - Specialized in HVAC Design.
  • Capable of leading discussions with clients and lead projects for the HVAC Disciplines.
  • Ability to take design decisions independently.
  • Energy Modelling , Building Performance analysis & IES Software skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
