SBM Offshore is a leader in floating technologies for the oil and gas industry, striving to meet the growing demand for renewable energy. As a key player in the energy sector, we recognize the importance of a well-coordinated supply chain to ensure timely delivery of equipment and commodities.
In this Expeditor role, you will be responsible for post-purchase order coordination activities, ensuring suppliers comply with all purchase order requirements in a timely fashion. Your tasks will include monitoring supplier schedules, participating in critical supplier meetings, and coordinating the flow of engineering data between suppliers and SBM.
Key responsibilities will also include analyzing supplier manufacturing schedules, informing parties of anticipated delays, and advising on inspection activities to avoid delays in dispatching inspectors. Additionally, you will provide feedback on supplier performance and obtain final documents in support of purchase order close-outs.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field of engineering and a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in expediting or order execution related positions in the oil and gas industry. You should possess knowledge of manufacturing and inspection processes, coordination skills, and the ability to foresee supplier-related issues in advance.
