Job Title: CPU/DSP Low Level Kernel Development/Optimization-Staff Engineer

 

Overview

The position involves the development of low-level kernel software for CPU and DSP applications. It requires expertise in optimizing neural network runtime performance and accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing AI SW stack on Qualcomm NSP.
  • Evaluating and optimizing neural networks runtime performance and accuracy.
  • Enabling state-of-the-art network models and new AI SW features to meet customer use-cases.
  • Collaborating with the architecture team to define next-generation NSP.

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • 8-10 years of embedded software development experience, including low-level drivers and RTOS.
  • Strong C and Assembly programming skills with a strong understanding of OS and multi-processor concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of memory management, MMU, IOMMU, etc.
  • Embedded software development experience in C and C++ on ARM or similar cores.
  • Hands-on experience with driver development on any RTOS, preferably SafeRTOS/FreeRTOS/QNX.
  • Strong processor architecture knowledge.
  • Good debugging skills with experience using Lauterbach JTAG debuggers.
  • Ability to work on challenging customer requirements and issues.
  • Familiarity with software/hardware security concepts is desirable.

 

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience. Alternatively, they may have a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
