Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Physiotherapist to lead our Physiotherapy College and ensure excellence in teaching, clinical practice, research, and professional development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring physiotherapy programs according to university, UGC, and statutory council norms. They will also oversee curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and continuous assessment to ensure high-quality education.

The Principal Physiotherapist will also guide faculty members in research, publications, and participation in academic forums to enhance the institution's reputation. Additionally, they will evaluate and improve effective clinical training integration with hospital services.

Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day administration of the Physiotherapy College/Department, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating faculty and staff performance, preparing budgets, managing resources, and ensuring infrastructure adequacy to support departmental needs.

The Principal Physiotherapist will also ensure adherence to accreditation standards and maintain proper records of academic, clinical, and administrative activities. Facilitate audits, inspections, and approvals from governing bodies to maintain institutional standards.

Built collaboration with healthcare institutions, universities, and professional bodies to strengthen partnerships. Requirements:

  • MPT or Ph.D. in Physiotherapy (specialization desirable in Orthopedics, Neurology, or Cardio-respiratory)
  • At least 15 years of teaching/clinical experience, including at least 5 years in a Professor/Head role
