Job Description

Job Responsibilities:


  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell, with a solid understanding of programming fundamentals.
  • Expertise in configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, and Puppet, with a focus on automation and orchestration.
  • Ability to design, create, and deliver user workflows implemented in Ansible, with a strong understanding of Red Hat and other configuration management tools.
  • Experience with API development and integration, including working with SQL and no-SQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
  • Comfortable working with YAML files and playbook creation, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills:


  • Background in architecting and designing complex customer solutions using Ansible, with a focus on automation and orchestration.
  • Intermediate-level scripting in Bash or Python, with a strong understanding of Linux internals.
  • Direct experience with provisioning, orchestration, packages, services, configuration, and deployment using Ansible by Red Hat.
  • Practical experience writing Ansible by Red Hat playbooks, with a strong understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work with distributed teams, deliver enterprise-quality software, and work on open-source software projects.
  • Good balance of strategic and tactical skills, with high-level mental agility and capacity for original thought.
  • Ability to study on your own and quickly learn and put into practice new facts, with a passion for open-source software, tooling, and automation.
  • Experience implementing a continuous integration (CI) or continuous development (CD) pipeline, with broad and deep technical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of container management and orchestration tools, with comfort working with highly distributed teams and interacting with open-source communities.
  • Familiarity with security fundamentals at the infrastructure and operating system level, including the cloud environment and hypervisors.
