We are currently seeking a highly skilled Global Procurement Leader - Strategic Sourcing to join our team in Thiruvallur. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing plans that drive business growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, supply chain management, and negotiations. You will have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Job Summary:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and reduce lead times.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements that meet Caterpillar's needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accurate financial planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Professional certification in purchasing and/or inventory management (e.g., C.P.M., CPIM, CIRM) is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
