Project Director Role

As a Project Director, you will oversee the delivery of software engineering projects and programs.

You will partner with engineering, product, and internal business teams to ensure understanding of priorities, execution visibility, project delivery, and achievement of targeted outcomes.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Define and manage the scope, goals, and roadmap of software projects.
  • Lead project-level planning and prioritization in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
  • Collaborative Execution
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members.
  • Facilitate milestone planning and progress tracking.
  • Ensure cross-team understanding, visibility, and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Delivery Excellence
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards.
  • Promote delivery excellence through adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and internal processes.
  • Resolve delivery blockers, manage interdependencies.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Promote communication between engineering, product, and team members.
  • Provide detailed updates on status, risks, program decisions to all levels, including executives.
  • Align all team members around important outcomes and delivery expectations.
  • Risk Management
  • Manage project issues, maintain risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management in software engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with project tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
