Job Summary

The role of Strategic Investment Specialist involves analyzing and evaluating investment opportunities, identifying trends and patterns in investment performance, and providing support to the valuation committee in performing regular valuation of assets under management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment operations, quantitative and qualitative skills sets, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of investment deals to determine their viability and potential returns.
  • Loan Portfolio Purchases: Evaluate and analyze loan portfolios to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Loan Stratification Analysis: Analyze and categorize loans based on risk level and potential return.
  • Historical Performance Reviews: Review and analyze historical data to identify trends and patterns in investment performance.
  • Price Modeling: Develop and implement price models to estimate the value of investments.
  • Credit Facilities: Evaluate and manage credit facilities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Forecast Modeling: Develop and implement forecasting models to predict future investment performance.
  • Cumulative Collections Curves: Analyze and track cumulative collections curves to identify areas for improvement.
  • Runoff Models: Develop and implement runoff models to estimate the value of investments over time.
  • Portfolio Management & Monitoring: Monitor and manage investment portfolios to ensure they are aligned with company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in investment operations or a related field.
  • Quantitative and qualitative skills sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English).
  • Nice to have: experience with Business Intelligence tools such as QuickSight or PowerBI.
