Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in advancing our health strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on strengthening primary care systems and institutions, driving meaningful change and making a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design & Strategy:
  • Develop project proposals, conduct reviews, and monitor projects related to primary care.
  • Ensure regular grant releases, identification of sector priorities, opportunities for collaborations, and contribution to health strategy.
Coaching & Mentoring:
  • Guide team members in their day-to-day activities while contributing to organisational leadership pipeline.
  • Liaise with other thematic projects to ensure synergies and improved efficiency.
Institutional Engagement:
  • Lead evaluations and ensure strategic alignment of institutions seeded by trusts.
  • Ensure fund flows and programmatic planning.
Internal Processes:
  • Oversee management information systems, internal audit, and annual work plan processes.
Grant Reviews:
  • Assist the theme head in reviewing grant requests and partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as point of contact for academic medical institutions and medical research organisations.
Internal Reviews:
  • Participate in review meetings and attend to tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in medicine or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of post-qualification, relevant work experience in primary care settings.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Influencing and collaboration abilities.
