Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Build high-availability and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Establish Infrastructure Security Controls: Implement IAM policies, secrets management, access controls, and monitoring to ensure system security.
  • Build CI/CD Pipelines: Automate deployment workflows to improve developer productivity.
  • Conduct Vulnerability Assessments: Identify and address potential security threats through regular vulnerability assessments and threat modeling.
  • Implement Logging and Monitoring Frameworks: Ensure observability and proactive issue resolution through logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
  • Partner with Engineering Teams: Embed security best practices into product development to ensure a secure and reliable system.
  • Drive Compliance Readiness: Ensure compliance readiness through security automation and documentation for SOC2, ISO27001, and GDPR.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or security engineering roles.
  • Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Familiarity with networking, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Strong knowledge of security fundamentals (encryption, IAM, vulnerability management).
  • Prior startup experience preferred – comfortable wearing multiple hats and driving outcomes independently.

Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to zero-trust architectures.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Experience responding to security incidents in production environments.
  • Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, Go, etc.) for automation.
