Job Overview

The role of a SAP Data Archival Specialist involves handling various responsibilities related to server administration, data management, and software maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server Administration:
    • Add or remove authorization to file servers for efficient data access
    • Handle annual access audit requests to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Monitor Windows file servers and troubleshoot issues related to authorization to ensure system stability
  • Data Management:
    • Extract and transfer archived data to buyers as part of the divestment process
    • Create detailed documentations on maintenance activities to facilitate knowledge sharing
  • Software Maintenance:
    • Install and configure Enterprise Scan application and WinViewer application for effective data analysis
    • Troubleshoot issues related to these applications to minimize downtime
  • SAP Data Archiving:
    • Activate and deactivate archive infrastructure (AIS) to manage data lifecycle efficiently
    • Run catchup archiving for new archive objects and sweeper for existing objects to maintain data integrity
  • Reporting and Collaboration:
    • Attend Agile ceremonies to provide status updates and knowledge sharing to enhance team collaboration
    • Update work items in ADO boards and team OneNote to facilitate seamless communication
  • Incident Management:
    • Assess and handle incidents and tickets during Bangkok working hours to ensure prompt resolution
    • Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve complex issues and improve overall system performance
  • Retention and Warehouse Management:
    • Assist project teams in testing archive functionalities to validate system capabilities
  • Replication Server Migration/Upgrade:
    • Perform data migration and technical/functional testing to ensure smooth system upgrades
