About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced software engineer to design and develop large-scale web applications using Ruby on Rails.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable, efficient, and secure web applications.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration of services and APIs.
- Data Retrieval: Develop and maintain SOLR search functionality for efficient data retrieval and indexing.
- Security: Implement security best practices, including bot mitigation using Cloudflare or similar services.
- Infrastructure Performance: Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance using Datadog.
- Agile Development: Participate in agile development environments, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Communication: Maintain excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails and Sinatra frameworks.
- Architecture: Experience with microservices-based architectures, Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift or similar messaging/streaming platforms.
- AWS Services: Familiarity with AWS services, especially SQS, hosting, and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring tools, preferably Datadog.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Prior Experience:
- Familiarity with healthcare technology platforms is a plus.
