Job Description

At a cutting-edge agricultural technology company, we're pushing the boundaries of precision farming with innovative AI-powered robotic systems. These robots use lasers to remove weeds with unparalleled accuracy, eliminating the need for chemicals.

We're seeking a skilled robotics engineer to collaborate on designing and developing advanced motion control and sensor fusion algorithms that bring our robots to life in real-world conditions. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing high-precision motor control systems for real-time laser targeting
  • Developing robust control algorithms for BLDC motors with microsecond precision
  • Integrating with AI and perception teams to connect weed detection with precise actuation
  • Building and testing complex sensor fusion pipelines combining IMU, GNSS, RTK, odometry, and custom sensors
  • Scaling work to multi-laser, multi-unit robotic platforms for large-scale agricultural applications

Key qualifications include experience with BLDC motor control and precision positioning systems, strong knowledge of control theory, hands-on programming skills in C++/Python on embedded systems, and familiarity with ROS/ROS2 and communication protocols like CAN and Ethernet.

A strong background in agricultural robotics, precision agriculture, or outdoor robotics would be beneficial, as well as knowledge of laser safety standards and machine learning integration in control systems.

This role requires expertise in developing ruggedized system designs and hardware-in-the-loop testing, making it an exciting opportunity for experienced engineers looking to drive innovation in the field.
