WLAN Automation QA Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled WLAN Automation QA professional to join our team at Tekpillar.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and executing automated tests for WLAN systems, focusing on Python-based frameworks and wireless networking protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Automation Expertise: Develop, maintain, and execute test automation scripts using Python and frameworks such as Pytest, PyATS, and Robot Framework.
  2. API Automation Testing: Design and implement API automation tests using Flask and related technologies.
  3. Automated WLAN Testing: Plan, execute, and manage automated WLAN testing for L2/L3 networking and wireless protocols.
  4. Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate with development and firmware teams to identify, log, and track defects, and support root cause analysis. Provide feedback on software and firmware performance to product, design, and QA teams.
  5. Version Control Management: Maintain and manage version control systems such as Git for test scripts and automation frameworks.
  6. Project Timelines and Quality Goals: Contribute to the development of test strategies, test plans, and test dashboards to ensure project timelines and quality goals are met.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong Python Development Experience: Strong experience as a Python Developer with hands-on expertise in test automation.
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in Pytest, PyATS, Robot Framework, or equivalent test automation frameworks.
  • API Automation and Testing: Knowledge of Flask framework for API automation and testing.
  • Networking Protocols: Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking and wireless protocols, including Wi-Fi standards.
  • Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior WLAN or Embedded Systems Testing Experience: Prior experience in WLAN or embedded systems testing is highly desirable.
  • CI/CD Pipelines and Test Automation Integration: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration is a plus.
  • Network Performance Metrics: Understanding of network performance metrics, throughput, and latency testing is an asset.
