Infrastructure Management Role

This role involves overseeing the complete lifecycle of OCI infrastructure, requiring a strong understanding of Tenancy, VCN, Compartments, Network Layers, handling firewalls, subnet, storage options, FSS, Block Volume, and Object Storage.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Installs, configures, migrates, tunes, patches, and administers OCI infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Develops and modifies Terraform scripts for application deployments on OCI and managing OCI Infrastructure to streamline processes and reduce errors.
  • Performs performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required to meet business needs. Configures CPU, memory, and disk partitions as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrades administrative tools and utilities to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Manages Network Security Groups, Bastion Hosts as a Service Sessions, and Public Load Balancer provisioning to safeguard against potential threats.
  • Provisions storage, compute nodes, network, and understands requirements for the same to meet business demands.
  • Maintains IaaS solutions: virtual machines/networks, on-premise/hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity, security models, cloud monitoring, logging, local and cloud storage to ensure data integrity.
  • Handles Certificate renewals on OCI to prevent security breaches.
  • Understands and implements HA architecture in an OCI environment to guarantee business continuity.
  • Strongly understands HA concepts in DR and sets up on Infrastructure for DR Site to minimize downtime.
  • Migrates experience and uses migration tools to optimize business processes.
  • Handles performance management and Cost optimization to maximize ROI.
  • Analyzes solution designs that accompany business requirements for technical delivery to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Assists in design decisions, develops, and implements cloud solutions to drive business growth.
