Project Financial Manager

• Prepare detailed project forecasts, including annual and quarterly planning.
• Take responsibility for project invoicing, tax compliance, bonds, guarantees, financial accounting, and reporting. Drive optimization of project cash flow, revenue, and contribution to profit, in collaboration with the central cost controller/project manager as needed.
• Participate in opportunity/risk identification to ensure timely implementation of required mitigation actions. Lead and coordinate monthly project reviews jointly with the PM/Central Controller/PSCM. Review and share joint responsibility for all financial aspects of the project, including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete, forecasted revenues, and cash flow, risks, and opportunities assessment, ensuring alignment with other functions, including project controls, planning/scheduling.
• Promote commercial awareness within the project team and provide commercial input to the project execution plan.
• Adhere to core values of safety and integrity, taking ownership of your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
• Coordinate with clients for invoice approval, payments, and compliance purposes.
• Maintain an updated billing register capturing details of all billings to date, status on approval, payment, various deductions with categories and reasons, follow-up to collect deducted amounts.
• Implement stringent monitoring and control over site expenses. Provide weekly reports of project expenses in a specified format and reconcile SAP entries with invoices.
• Analyze actual versus budget costs and revenue on the project, highlighting potential issues to the controller manager and project managers.
• Lead the activity of project actualisation (Actua) at HO-defined frequency, coordinating with the project team to obtain required data, discussing with the controller manager to prepare finance-related slides for Actua presentation, uploading Actua in SAP post-approval from required personnel.
• Review kappa against budgeted costs and highlight if costs exceed the budget. Verify that adequate documents (quotations, budget sheet, comparative information, billing value, required authorizations, reasoning for deviations from minimum quotations, budget overruns, non-lowest offer, non-compliance with payment terms) are attached with kappa.
• Share project slides for monthly business review in accordance with the timeline defined by the project team, keeping the controller manager informed.
• Conduct comprehensive checks on provisions to ensure accuracy, completeness for monthly closing, and adherence to accounting rules and HO instructions.
• Perform monthly cash verification and surprise verification at least once a month. Report results to the HO team (controller manager and IFC team).
• Lead and supervise compliance on internal financial controls (IFC) as defined by HO in the risk and control matrix (RCM).
• Monitor ABG, PBG, and any other guarantees, insurances to ensure timely renewal, reduction according to contractual conditions.
• Comply with tax regulations.
• Provide necessary support to the execution team and become an integral part of the project team, offering core finance support for all finance-related matters on-site. Anticipate issues, discuss with the controller manager, and take proactive actions to resolve them.
• Timely fill man-days for self against respective projects.
• Verify that staff timesheets working on the project are filled timely and correctly.
• Supervise the day-to-day work of the site accountant, providing guidance and support for efficient conduct of site tasks.
• Support the central controlling team on various analyses and ad-hoc requests.

MBA Finance/CA-Inter/ICWA.

Total experience of 6 to 10 years.
