Job Title: Senior Data Engineer


About the Role: At IT Resource Hunter, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data processing systems.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Bash.
  • Real-Time Data Processing: Implement real-time data processing solutions using Kafka, Apache Flink, and Apache Spark.
  • Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Data Exchange and Storage: Work with JSON and other data formats for data exchange and storage.
  • Big Data Technologies: Leverage big data technologies for data stream processing and large-scale data handling.
  • Big Data Solutions: Implement and maintain big data solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Advanced Data Processing: Utilize PySpark and/or Scala for advanced data processing tasks.
  • Automation and Data Processing: Develop and maintain scripts for automation and data processing.
  • Telemetry Data and IoT: Work with telemetry data and IoT systems to collect, process, and analyze data.
  • Data Quality and Accuracy: Ensure data quality and accuracy in IoT data streams.
  • Data Integration and ETL: Utilize Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse for data integration and ETL processes.
  • Business Intelligence and Analytics: Develop data solutions on Azure to support business intelligence and analytics.
  • Project Tracking and Version Control: Use process management tools like JIRA and Bitbucket for project tracking and version control.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Bash. Experience with Kafka, Apache Flink, and Apache Spark. Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with JSON.
  • Advanced Skills: Experience with PySpark and/or Scala programming. Familiarity with telemetry data and IoT systems. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse. Knowledge of process management tools like JIRA and Bitbucket.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other big data technologies and data warehousing solutions. Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g, Microsoft Azure, Apache Spark). Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
