Job Title: Senior Algorithm Developer - Deep Learning Expert

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Algorithm Developer with expertise in deep learning to join our team at Applied Materials. As a key member of our SW & AI Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing image processing systems that are integrated into a wide range of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document algorithmic development, participate in planning, and accompany implementation, integration, and testing of an algorithmic module.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms into production systems.
  • Explore and evaluate different deep learning architectures and algorithms to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of existing algorithms.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience with a Master's/Ph.D. in Electronics/Computer Science, with a focus on Image Processing/Deep Learning Algorithms.
  • Solid mathematical foundation and understanding of probability, statistical analysis, image processing, and machine learning principles.
  • Strong fundamentals and practical experience in Python programming and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Proficiency in image processing techniques and libraries (e.g., Numpy, OpenCV, Scikit, pandas).
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques for memory and throughput in deep learning algorithms.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and tools for large-scale data processing and model training.
  • Understanding of feature development cycle, from requirements to testing, integration, and delivery.
