Job Title: Senior Underwriter

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Underwriter in Thrissur, India. This is a dynamic opportunity that requires at least 3.5 years of experience in underwriting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive underwriting with full case ownership.
  • Evaluate borrower profiles using creditworthiness criteria such as Character, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral.
  • Conduct thorough credit report reviews for accurate risk assessments.
  • Work on both UK mortgage and US mortgage underwriting, including income calculations, debt-to-income ratio evaluations, loan-to-value ratio assessments, asset calculations, and PITI reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate smooth processing and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3.5 years of underwriting experience (live/end-to-end).
  • Experience in the UK mortgage process or the US mortgage underwriting – both will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of credit report review, DTI, LTV, PITI, income & asset calculations.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with high accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
