We are seeking a seasoned technology professional to join our team as a Senior Backend Engineer.

Job Description

This role involves designing and developing scalable microservices with low-latency architecture to support real-time hotel search and distribution. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing custom algorithms and data models to support pricing, availability, and inventory workflows.

  • This includes collaborating with product/architect teams to own end-to-end modules from design to rollout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will build and scale microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • They will participate in rigorous code reviews and contribute to a CI/CD pipeline that supports frequent, reliable, and automated deployments.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate is required.
  • Strong experience with MySQL, MongoDB, or ScyllaDB is necessary.
  • Built distributed, event-driven systems using SQS, Kinesis; solid understanding of fault tolerance, backpressure, and scalability is expected.
  • Familiarity with data consistency models, circuit breakers, internal DSLs, and low-latency API design is essential.
  • Proficient with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch; have tuned systems for high throughput and sub-50ms latencies is desired.
