Job Title: Mainframe Testing

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop test strategies and plans to define scope and approach of testing.
  • Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios/design test cases.
  • Prepare test data/test JCL according to test scenarios.
  • Execute test cases by submitting jobs and analyzing results.
  • Report issues and coordinate with development/support teams for fixing errors.
  • Participate in capability building and upskilling programs, contribute towards training programs in practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in testing life cycle process.
  • Good knowledge in editing JCL or creating JCL to submit test batch jobs.
  • Awareness of TSO/ISPF commands in Mainframe.
  • Ability to analyze logs in Spool for Abended jobs and provide root cause of the issue.
  • Experience in STLC Lifecycle (Software Testing Life Cycle) or Agile methodology.
