Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing agronomic programs to enhance crop yields and quality.
• Collaborating with government and non-governmental organizations to maximize benefits for the company.
• Creating strategies for effective development and supply of agri-products to factories.
• Increasing productivity and improving quality through effective liaison with research stations.
• Fixing purchase prices through discussion and appraisal of the entire position to farmers/growers.
• Monitoring and reviewing the performance of budgeted targets of agri-operations department.
• Establishing effective networks within the industry and liaising with government agencies.
• Building relationships with local political circles, bureaucrats, and opinion makers.
• Developing a good field force for executing activity plans on time.
• Identifying and implementing suitable farm machineries for major and minor farm activities.
• Coordinating with local teams and government agencies for irrigation projects.
• Retaining farmers/growers permanently through business work with R&D teams and research stations.
• Focusing on developing systems and procedures in a robust manner.

Candidate Requirements:

• 20 years of experience in the Agri-Industry with excellent farmer connections.
• MBA from Premier Institutes / M.Sc. Agri.
• Location: Chennai.
