Key Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled data engineer to collaborate on client projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python and SQL/database skills, experience with large datasets, and expertise in using the Pandas library.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform web scraping using various techniques and utilize Python's Pandas library for data cleaning and manipulation.
    • Ingest scraped data into a database/warehouse and schedule scrapers using Airflow or other tools.
    • Collaborate with analysts to understand and anticipate requirements.
    • Design, implement, and maintain web scrapers for alternative datasets.
    • Perform data cleaning, exploration, transformation, and other data-related tasks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient data processing workflows.
    • Author quality control checks to validate data availability and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 2-4 years of software development experience.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Expertise in using popular data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam or Spark.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies like AWS or GCP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with common scraping tools (Selenium, Scrapy, Fiddler, Postman, XPath).
  • Experience containerizing workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with build automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Experience with distributed computing platforms like Hadoop or Mesos.
