Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our organization. As a QA Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Manual and Automated Testing: Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for platforms, including video playback, UI/UX, and streaming performance.
  • Video Streaming Workflows: Test video streaming workflows, including encoding, packaging, and delivery, ensuring compatibility with protocols like HLS and DASH.
  • Content Delivery: Validate content delivery across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Roku, Smart TVs, web browsers) and CDNs (e.g., Akamai, CloudFront).
  • Functional and Regression Testing: Perform functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing for applications.
  • Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Bugzilla, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • DRM-Protected Content: Test DRM-protected content and monetization features (e.g., subscription models, ad insertion).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, DevOps) to ensure high-quality releases.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1-2 years in the OTT or media streaming industry.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack).
  • Strong understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and platform testing requirements.
  • Experience testing on multiple devices and platforms (iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, Smart TVs, web browsers).
  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
