As a synthetic chemist, you will be responsible for designing and executing novel synthetic routes to prepare small molecules for drug discovery programmes. Your expertise in organic chemistry and experience in multistep synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation will enable you to optimize the potency, selectivity, and properties of small molecules.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement efficient synthetic strategies to access complex molecular targets
- Collaborate with analytical teams to track SAR and ensure the quality of compounds
- Purify and structurally characterize compounds using advanced chromatography and spectroscopic techniques
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organic chemistry, preferably with hands-on experience in working on bench, and be skilled in purification techniques, chromatography, and spectroscopic analysis.
Requirements:- M.Sc. or PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field
- 0-4 years of experience in synthetic chemistry, preferably in industry
- Strong understanding of chemical principles and ability to apply them to solve complex problems
