Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Validation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, validating large datasets, and ensuring quality across GCP-based solutions.

About the Role

This is a key position in our organization that involves creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and reports. You will work extensively with GCP services (especially BigQuery) for data validation and automate test cases using GCP services like Cloud Composer (or Apache Airflow), BigQuery and SQL. Additionally, you will monitor GCP cloud logs and build dashboards, identify, log, and track defects, and provide regular status updates on execution/validation progress.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and reports to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Perform data-level validations: schema checks, completeness, integrity, and freshness validations.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to design and execute test plans that meet business requirements.
  • Automate test cases using GCP services like Cloud Composer (or Apache Airflow), BigQuery and SQL.
  • Monitor GCP cloud logs and build dashboards to track performance metrics.
  • Identify, log, and track defects and provide regular status updates on execution/validation progress.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hands-on data validation skills.
  • Experience working with GCP services, especially BigQuery, and proficiency in SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
