  • With 3-6 years of experience, you will design, build, and manage the security infrastructure of information technology (IT) systems.
  • This includes installing hardware, configuring firewalls, setting up virtual private networks (VPNs), and adding upgrades.
  • Cyber Security engineers must engage with clients, relaying project information and troubleshooting all issues discovered.
  • They must be proficient in change management and disaster response, and actively apply policies and standards to all projects.

Key qualifications include:

  • Good understanding of basic routing and switching concepts.
  • Expertise in remote infrastructure management for networks.
  • Hands-on experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint firewalls, or other network security technologies.
  • Performing day-to-day firewall activities such as administration, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of IOS upgrades and software strategies.
  • Experience in configuring URL filtering, file blocking, and security profiles in Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Reviewing network security threat logs for intrusions and compromises and providing solutions.
  • Good knowledge of authentication methods like radius & tacacs.
