Job Title:

Azure DevOps Lead

Description:

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team in achieving sprint and release goals. The successful candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for Azure DevOps practices, tooling, and delivery processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, strong understanding of CI/CD, trunk-based development, Git workflows, and automation-first practices. Additionally, they should have demonstrated experience leading Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams and using project management tools.

Key responsibilities include owning day-to-day decision making for the team, representing the team in program/portfolio forums, and partnering with architecture, security, infrastructure, and product to influence key technical and product decisions.

Other key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, driving engineering excellence, facilitating knowledge sharing sessions, establishing standards/playbooks, and uplifting team capabilities.

The successful candidate will also monitor delivery metrics, ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards, identify risks and dependencies early, implement mitigation plans, and communicate status proactively.

They will also ensure secure development and compliance, coordinate incident response and problem management, lead post-incident reviews and continuous improvement, manage environments and releases across dev/test/stage/prod with appropriate governance and approvals, and optimize cloud usage and costs in partnership with platform and FinOps teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, trunk-based development, and automation-first practices
  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams and using project management tools (e.g., Azure Boards, Jira)
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
