Senior Cyber Security Specialist

This senior role involves overseeing the development of secure code within a robust environment, crafting functions that prevent security breaches and ensure system integrity. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding and implementation of cyber security principles, encompassing encryption, key management, and firewall configurations.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
  • In-depth familiarity with POSIX standards, specifically in Linux or QNX environments.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with hardware, particularly Qualcomm BSP or similar platforms.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Evaluate, establish, and continuously improve cybersecurity standards to ensure robust protection and compliance with industry best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective security solutions to safeguard systems against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Analyse and document security-related information to gain valuable insights into security operations and enhance overall security posture.
  • Develop comprehensive software guidelines, practices, and procedures for cyber security, ensuring consistency and reliability across the organisation.
  • Collaborate directly with internal teams and suppliers to guide, support, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity guidelines, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve security objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strong programming skills in C and C++, with the ability to write efficient and reliable code.
  • In-depth familiarity with POSIX standards, specifically in Linux or QNX environments, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with hardware, particularly Qualcomm BSP or similar platforms, enabling effective hardware-software interaction.
  • Solid understanding of cyber security principles, including cryptography, key management, firewall configurations, and software integrity, to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Comprehensive experience in software development, covering various stages of the software lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.
