Job Title:

Sr. Cloud Database Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Database Professional to join our team in a fully remote role based in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer cloud-based databases, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency
  • Plan, implement, and oversee cloud subscription services for database management
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring
  • Configure and maintain disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions
  • Implement and monitor security policies, access controls, and compliance standards
  • Plan and execute database migrations from on-premises databases to cloud
  • Work with development and devops teams to support ci/cd and database lifecycle management
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and proactively address database health and capacity concerns

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a database administrator
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud database administration and management
  • Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting database issues
  • Deep knowledge of t-sql, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations
  • Proven experience with migration projects from on-premises databases to cloud
  • Familiarity with cloud services like monitoring, security center, and automation
  • Understanding of licensing and cost management for cloud resources
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
