Job Title: Software Development Engineer II

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Retail Demand Forecasting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building data pipelines that ensure accurate, timely, and relevant results from our forecast algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code per industry best practices.
  • Develop extensive experience with distributed computing, specifically Big Data and Data lake architecture.
  • Follow best practices of continuous BDD/TDD/Performance/Security/Smoke testing.
  • Develop Integration tests to ensure coding adheres to acceptance criteria and verify end-to-end behavior of the system.
  • Ensure best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Support production systems, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements:

  • 7-9 years of experience and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Python, Pyspark, HDFS development, and components according to a detailed design document.
  • Qualifications: Data Engineering, Python, Pyspark, HDFS, CA7, Oozie, Sqoop, etc.
