Senior UX Designer Job

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team. As a Senior UX Designer, you will create empathetic product UX via pragmatic storytelling, detailed flow mapping, interactive prototyping, and usability testing.

You will conceptualize, communicate, and pitch your ideas frequently in front of peers across product, business, tech, and marketing.

We expect you to bring fresh approaches, insights, and be great at conveying what's best for the user to interact with a seamless product using best UX practices and processes.

  • Create quick sketches, comprehensive wireframes, rich visuals, and interactive prototypes to deliver finished design deliverables.
  • Partner with Product Team to ideate on product direction and translate user stories into UX solutions.
  • Collaborate with product leadership, development managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to help define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, experience, and visuals.
  • Document the user experience through mockups, design specs, and prototype demos.
  • Creating and communicating design guidelines, patterns, and libraries.
  • Executing UX and visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
  • Drive design quality, usability, and accessibility standards.

Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design or a related field of study.
  • Proficient in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3 code & basic development practices will be an added advantage.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of professional experience with UX/UI design and highly interactive products and digital interfaces.
  • Experience in prototyping and visual design.
  • Hands-on experience in working with Design systems in the past.

Skills Required

In addition to the key qualifications and requirements, the following skills are required:

  • Strong portfolio detailing interaction, thought process, and UX design skills.
  • Good knowledge in interaction design principles and user-centered design processes.
  • Deep understanding of typography, layout, composition, information architecture, color theory, fluid grid systems, animation, and transitions.
  • Create detailed user flows while being able to imagine movement and correlation between different components to create user delight.
  • Design thinking, creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be open and attentive to the user's needs.
  • Must be able to communicate ideas and collaborate with team members to achieve desired results.
  • Empathy for the end-user and provide the best usable solution.
  • Must possess good English writing and speaking skills.
