Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled AMS Engineer to join our Power Design Team within Renesas Electronics America's leading power management product line. As part of one of Renesas's most prominent BMS Design Groups, this Engineer will work on next-generation IC products for multiple fast-paced consumer, industrial, and automotive power products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coding of Simulation Infrastructure: Utilize SystemVerilog and VerilogAMS to develop simulation infrastructure.
  • Product Development: Actively participate in all stages of product development, including specification, circuit design, circuit modeling, verification, design for test, and silicon debug.
  • AMS Verification Environment: Set up and develop AMS verification environments, including self-tested test benches for Mixed Signal chips and sub-circuits.
  • Advanced Simulation Techniques: Use and develop advanced mixed-signal simulation techniques to enhance simulation efficiency.
  • Verification Planning: Generate verification plans from specifications using vManager.
  • Coverage and Design Completeness: Determine coverage and design completeness requirements.
  • Testbench Development: Work with Validation and Design to generate schematics or text-based testbenches.
  • Random-Constraint Tests: Generate random-constraint tests to cover all customer-use models.
  • Assertions and Reporting: Create assertions, cover-groups, checkers, monitors, and automatic reporting.
  • Regression Reports: Set up and run regression reports.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BSEE (MSEE preferred) or equivalent with 6 to 8 years of professional industry experience in AMS Verification engineering roles.
  • Experience: Experience in digital and mixed-signal verification, VerilogAMS and Verilog/SystemVerilog languages, modeling, and AMS simulators.
  • UVM Testbench Creation: UVM testbench creation, writing, and implementation is a plus.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficient in developing scripts (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.) and Cadence SKILL language is a plus.
  • AMS Behavioral Modeling: Experience with AMS behavioral top-level modeling and verification methodology to speed up simulation.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and work closely with the team.
