**Big Data Engineer Role Summary**

We are seeking a skilled professional to design, develop, and optimize scalable big data architectures leveraging AWS services for large-scale complex data processing.

  • Build, maintain and optimize data pipelines using Spark (Scala) for both structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Architect and operationalize data engineering platforms, focusing on cloud-based solutions.
  • Implement and manage AWS services including EMR, Glue, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Athena, CloudFormation, API Gateway, and S3.
  • Work on real-time streaming solutions using Kafka and AWS Kinesis.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership and support the development of a robust data engineering capability.
  • Design, implement, and monitor data solutions to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
  • Support machine learning model deployment, scheduling, and monitoring on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data delivery solutions that meet business needs.
  • Write efficient SQL queries and contribute to data warehouse initiatives.

**Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in Big Data Technologies (AWS, Scala, Hadoop, and Spark).
  • Proven expertise in Spark with Scala programming language.
  • Experience with AWS services, including EMR, Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, API Gateway, Athena, and Lake Formation.
