Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled backend developer to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 8+ years of hands-on, full-time professional software development experience in developing distributed systems at scale.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python and Golang, with experience in designing maintainable APIs, microservices architecture, and handling high-throughput workloads.

Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as unit/integration/end-to-end testing, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation is also essential.

A strong organizational skillset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks while keeping projects on schedule are crucial for this role.

Collaboration with teams in a fully remote environment and discussing complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences are also key aspects of this position.

We are looking for a creative problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and can drive innovation in our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing distributed systems at scale
  • Designing and maintaining APIs (GraphQL, REST, HTTP)
  • Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching systems (Redis, Memcached), and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Scaled systems handling high-throughput workloads
  • Collaborating with teams in a fully remote environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on professional software development experience
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical, professional, hands-on experience
