Job Title: Legal Investment Expert

  • This is a challenging role that requires an expert in legal investments to lead and manage complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (MA), private equity (PE-VC) and structured finance.
  • The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the MA practice of a tier-1 or tier-2 full-service law firm, with expertise in all types of corporate transactions.
  • They should be able to think strategically and work collaboratively across different business functions, and possess excellent communication, negotiation and drafting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structuring corporate transactions to meet commercial intent.
  • Engaging and liaising with external advisors on corporate transactions.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Overseeing and managing company investments and corporate transactions from inception to completion.
  • Providing legal advice on foreign exchange compliance, Companies Act, corporate governance and other matters related to investment and corporate transactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 11-13 years experience in the MA practice of a tier-1 or tier-2 full-service law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of foreign exchange regulations, corporate law, securities regulations and contract law.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively across different business functions.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to simplify complex legal concepts.

Educational Requirements:
