Investment Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze potential investment opportunities to optimize financial returns.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of macro and micro economic factors impacting the target market.
  • Develop and present comprehensive investment memos to the Investment Committee for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external diligence agencies and lawyers to finalize due diligence and transaction documents ensuring smooth deal execution.
  • Monitor post-investment performance of investee companies identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement corrective strategies to enhance investee company performance as needed.
  • Prepare internal discussion memos for investment appraisal of investee companies supporting data-driven decisions.
  • Initiate recovery steps for realization of invested amount if required.
  • Compose various communications to be sent to investors ensuring timely updates.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Required: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA degree.
  • Experience: 0-5 years in debt investments/credit evaluation.
  • Field of experience: Debt investments/credit evaluation.

Knowledge, Competency, and Skills Requirements:

  • Proficient in analyzing complex financial statements.
  • Working knowledge of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and/or SARFAESI.
  • Skilled in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint applications.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data creation/gathering/analysis.
  • Working knowledge of various databases.
