Furniture Production Designer Job Description

Our organization is seeking an experienced Furniture Production Designer to contribute to the creation of high-quality furniture products.

The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, and excellent communication abilities.

  1. Develop detailed production drawings for furniture items based on initial designs and specifications.
  2. Create comprehensive cutting lists that outline the materials needed for production, including dimensions and quantities.
  3. Utilize software tools to create optimized cutting plans that minimize waste and maximize material efficiency.
  4. Collaborate closely with furniture designers and engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations. They will also conduct periodic audits of production processes to optimize techniques and maintain organized documentation of production drawings, cutting lists, and project revisions.
