Senior Lateral Flow Assay Specialist

Our organization seeks an experienced Lateral Flow Assay (LFA) developer to collaborate on developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LFAs from conception to validation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize LFAs for various applications, including whole blood samples.
  • Troubleshoot complex LFA performance issues, such as low signal, high background, flow inconsistencies, and long-term stability.
  • Analyze and interpret data from experimental design (DoE) and statistical analysis for LFA optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of LFAs into our product pipeline.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory guidelines relevant to IVD product development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in LFA development, preferably in the academy or IVD/medical device industry.
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with nanoparticle bioconjugation, particularly gold nanoparticles.
  • Strong understanding of various LFA materials and their impact on assay performance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience developing LFAs for whole blood samples, including on-board buffer integration.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques for characterizing nanoparticles.
