Job Title: Laboratory Associate

At our laboratory, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Associate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory by performing various tasks related to sample processing, testing, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sample Processing: You will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for histological examination, including staining procedures (H&E, special stains), and assisting in immunohistochemistry and molecular testing.
• Record-Keeping: Accurate and timely record-keeping is essential in this role. You will maintain detailed records of all laboratory activities, including sample processing, testing, and results.
• Equipment Maintenance: You will be responsible for operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including microtomes and cryostats.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a life science preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) a plus.
