Job Title: Deputy General Manager/ Assistant General Manager – Design

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager/Assistant General Manager to lead our design team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the design output for commercial and hospitality interiors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design and a proven track record of leading high-profile projects with outstanding design quality. They will also possess excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as deep knowledge of materials, costing, GFC details, and project execution.

In this role, you will collaborate with sales and design leadership to develop project briefs and drive client presentations. You will also act as project in-charge for design deliverables and client communication, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.

Apart from your technical expertise, you should be able to provide leadership in budgeting, scheduling, and P&L understanding, and take ownership of client satisfaction and issue resolution throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage design output for commercial and hospitality interiors.
  • Collaborate with sales and design leadership to develop project briefs and drive client presentations.
  • Act as project in-charge for design deliverables and client communication.
  • Supervise and mentor design teams to ensure high-quality, innovative, and functional designs.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Drive cross-department coordination to maintain alignment on design, cost, and execution.
  • Provide leadership in budgeting, scheduling, and P&L understanding.
  • Take ownership of client satisfaction and issue resolution throughout project execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial and hospitality interior design.
  • Proven track record in leading high-profile projects with outstanding design quality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with clients.
  • Deep knowledge of materials, costing, GFC details, and project execution.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and process orientation.
  • Ability to lead teams with entrepreneurial mindset and ownership.
  • Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
