The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will work closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to drive the use of data science across Verve Group. You will collaborate with our audience-focused Data Science team and Machine Learning Engineers to engineer prototypes into solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze complex datasets to uncover actionable insights
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models
- Evaluate model performance and iterate to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through compelling visualizations and presentations
- Collaborate with various platform/runtime data team(s) to provide high-quality deliverables
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and project managers
- Design robust ML architecture
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering interdisciplinary data science products in production covering design and implementation across backend, data, and ML stacks
- A postgraduate degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g. applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, physics, operations research, economics, behavioral sciences). PhD is a strong plus
- Experience with developing or supporting high-performance distributed systems
- Deep knowledge of statistical modeling
- Fluent in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning
- Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented and constantly changing environment
- Technical know-how: Min. 5 years in Python Min. 5 years in relational- and non-relational databases (BigQuery, Postgresql, ScyllaDB, Redis) Min. 3 years of cloud experience with GCP and AWS (Kubernetes experience) ML Ops Tools and common data science libraries (TensorFlow/PyTorch) CI/CD experience Github Proficient in, SQL, PySpark, Sklearn
