Senior Java Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Engineer to contribute to our next-generation platform architecture vision.

The ideal candidate will drive and own multiple technology initiatives, ensuring that platforms are designed for scale, availability, and performance using microservices architecture and API-first design principles.

Main responsibilities include reviewing and recommending improvements to operational processes and procedures, implementing best practices to ensure security and availability, and maintaining technical documentation, architecture references, change management, and reporting.

In addition, the successful candidate will perform code reviews, drive code optimization through refactoring and other best practices, create, and deliver a long-term roadmap for engineering efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Java developer in internet startup/product companies
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and architecting applications and APIs
  • Strong background in building products with a microservices-based approach
  • Experience in transforming existing applications and creating a microservices-based architecture (including technology migration)
  • Programming skills: Strong hands-on experience in Java
  • Experience working with messaging queues like RabbitMQ & Kafka
  • Experience working with SQL & NoSQL databases and performance tuning
  • Experience with AWS services and implementation of Spring Boot microservices in the cloud
  • Experience implementing containerized applications with Docker
  • Excellent communication and technology documentation skills
  • Demonstrated technology thought leadership
  • Self-starter and self-learner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
