Job Description:

Our organization seeks a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to drive innovation in cloud infrastructure, automation, and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure management, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost reduction strategies.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient cloud solutions, leveraging native tools and third-party platforms for cost analysis and optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining scripts/automation for cost reporting and efficiency improvements
  • Monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across multiple platforms
  • Identifying and implementing reserved instances and savings plans to reduce costs
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to right-size resources and optimize spend

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, driven, and passionate individual with a strong understanding of SRE concepts and cloud computing principles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, the candidate should possess:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation
