Identity and Access Management Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for supporting and managing multi-domain directory services, federation of applications and services, conditional access policies, and more.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced IAM Engineer who can help modernize our existing infrastructure while maintaining high levels of security, compliance standards, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Active Directory and DNS applications and underlying infrastructure
  • Support and upgrade Microsoft Azure AD Connect
  • Manage Entra ID, users, groups, attributes, and design, implement, and regularly review conditional access policies
  • Experience with managing ADFS, federating internal and third-party applications and services using SAML, OAuth, OIDC for SSO, and configuring log shipping to external sources and tuning alerting to tools such as Splunk
  • Develop and modify PowerShell scripts with Graph API to automate identity-related tasks
  • Work with vulnerability management and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure identity systems meet regulatory and audit requirements
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to define and enforce security policies and user access controls
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IAM technologies, trends, and security vulnerabilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in identity and access management or a related field
  • Specialist knowledge of Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Active Directory (AD), and AD Connect
  • Operational windows support experience required
