Role Overview:

At UnitedHealth Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our Software Engineering team. As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and vision to the team, driving innovation and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute technical strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions that meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business needs and develop technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Ensure that software solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
  • Ensure that software solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that software solutions integrate with other systems and meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure that team members and stakeholders have the information they need to succeed
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure that software solutions are delivered on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and leadership
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget
  • Strong technical skills in software development, architecture, and engineering
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks
