Job Title

Data Engineer (Big Data)


Job Description:

As a data engineer in our Big Data team, you will play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining large-scale data systems to support business growth. You will work closely with data scientists to build complex algorithms that provide insights into our data.

You will use agile software development processes to make iterative improvements to our back-end systems, model front-end and back-end data sources, and develop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business.

Our ideal candidate has experience working with big data tools such as Google Cloud BigQuery, Airflow, CI/CD with Google Cloud, and knowledge of industry-wide visualization and analytics tools like Tableau and R.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools.
  • Familiarity with Bigdata & Google Cloud.
  • Solid work experience with Google cloud Bigdata toolset, BigQuery, Airflow, CI/CD with google cloud.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide visualization and analytics tools (ex: Tableau, R).
  • Knowledge of Core Java, Linux, SQL, and any scripting language.
  • Experience with Python, Spark, and Hive.
  • Communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts to nontechnical business leaders.
  • Ability to work on a dynamic, research-oriented team that has concurrent projects.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes.
  • Professional certification.
